Irish journalists behaviour
Press review analysis by Dr Jerome Manuceau
We analyse the different articles and give the links with them.
When you know what happened with the Medical Council and you read the different articles written about this problem, you undestand that what James D. Watson wrote about the scientists is also true for the journalists and we can say :
"a large number of "journalists" are not only narrow-minded and dull, but also just stupid"
On Februaly 2007, during the operation of a woman, I discovered a tumor on the front wall of stomach. I took a piece of the tumor for analysis and I stopped the operation immediately. This woman, awaked normaly, discussed with her neighbor, walked to the toilets and died at 5 am, probably from sleeping apnia, due to her obesity. Her GP mentioned that this woman should not have been operated on because of her asthma. But asthma has never been a contraindication for surgery and the anesthetist was more qualified to do so.
The High Court inquiry concluded to a "death due to natural causes".
The death happened on February and the Medical Council suspended me on August. So, it is true that the suspension happened after the death, but there was no relation between both facts at all.
Actually there are two types of journalists :
1) The ones who are honest and tried to report what really happened :
